Workshop on Preparation of Remedial Modules

The Workshop on Preparation of   Remedial Modules was held on the 8th of June,2010 from 8:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m at Wisma Tun Sambanthan.  Mr. Kumar Facilitated the Workshop which was attended by  28 teachers from   13 schools. CHILD was represented by the Programme Director Dr.Iyngkaran, the Deputy Programme Director Dr.Kunaletchumy, Madam Sarada,Mr.Jerry and Ms.Mangala.

Teachers were welcomed to the Workshop by Madam Sarada after which they were divided into three groups based on their language speciality, viz, English,Tamil and Bahasa Malaysia. Dr Kunaletchumy started the proceedings by encouraging the teachers to do the best for the Tamil Children.Dr.Iyngkaran also gave a speech to the participants extolling them to do their best for the Tamil Children and the Community by identifying the problems faced by the Children,notably language as well as looking for viable solutions. Dr.Iyngkaran thanked the Facilitators and the Participants for all the good work that they are doing for the children and assured them of CHILD’s continuous support.

Breakfast,Lunch and Tea was provided to all the participants.

After a series of Brainstorming sessions, three sets of Remedial Modules in all the three languages were prepared by the teachers and which will be utilized by all the schools for the students.

The Workshop came to a close with a vote of thanks by Madam Sarada the Manager of CHILD.
